Well-known actor and award-winning playwright, Hiro Kanagawa will be in the Library Theatre to read excerpts from his previous plays - The Tiger of Malaya, The Patron Saint of Stanley Park, and Indian Arm - which touch on themes of exile and displacement. He will then read a passage from his work-in-progress: a stage adaptation of Mark Sakamoto’s Forgiveness.  Local artist Susan Sakamoto will have art displayed on the lower level of the Library for the month of October and will be here during the event (starting at 6pm) to talk with guests about her works.
