Family Day Fun

Monday, February 18 is Family Day and there are several activities taking place around the city to keep families entertained!

Fest at Family Leisure Centre

The FLC is hosting their annual Family Day Fest from noon to 5 p.m. This year they are featuring an inflatable alley, jumbo yard games, family nerf wars and a 60m sprint. Other activities include swimming, skating, crafts and tot time for the young ones! Admission is just $2 per person.

Kiwanis Family Day at Police Point Park

As their annual tradition, Police Point park will be offering cross-country skiing or snowshoeing equipment for families to experience for free.  StoryWalk® trail featuring “FroggyGets Dressed” by Jonathan London, will be up and available. For a small fee, families can build a birdhouse, bird feeder, or robin shelf and put it up at their homes to make it wildlife friendly. For a modest cost, hot dogs will be available to roast over the open fire!

Parks Canada has provided an interactive exhibit entitled “What’s the Connection? Discover Nature’s Renewal”.  Parks Canada staff from Waterton Lakes National Park and Grasslands National Park will be on-site for discussion about the connection between wildfire and the grasslands.

Family Day at the Y!  

Both YMCA locations on Family Day  will be providing fun for the whole family from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. and enjoy the gym, climbing wall and pool for only $2 per person or $5 per family (free for members).  All proceeds collected will go to Strong Kids!

Medalta in the Historic Clay District

Medalta is offering free admission from 10am till 4pm on Monday, February 18! So head down and experience a part of Medicine Hat's Industrial Heritage!  

Here in Medicine Hat it is forecasted to be Mainly sunny with a (balmy) high of -17 for Family Day.
