About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Medicine Hat & District
Mentors constitute a social resource, helping children and youth develop social and emotional skills and connecting them to other parts of their communities. Our mentoring programs also provide opportunities for meaningful volunteer roles that make a true impact in the community and in the lives of the children and youth we work with.
As part of our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, we prioritize collaborating and working with like-minded partners in the community.
Unlike many charitable organizations, we do not receive government funding on an ongoing basis. We need the support f the community to continue to serve local children and youth through our many mentoring programs, designed to support their mental health and well-being.
