The Iceberg Classic began in 2015 as a joint venture between two families who love the game of 3 on 3 hockey. It has become Alberta's largest 3 on 3 hockey tournament with approximately 650 kids competing across 8 different divisions. There are divisions for all skill levels of players. The Iceberg Classic is a "pond hockey" style tournament, meaning that there are no offsides, no icing and all penalties result in a penalty shot. There are tournament gifts for all players, jerseys to keep, awards for 1st and 2nd place for all divisions, and of course the Iceberg Cup given to all division winners, where the cups will be displayed in the rink.
