Medicine Hat College is hosting the 2026 ACAC Futsal Championship this weekend (March 20-22) at the Snake Pit, bringing together over 350 athletes, coaches, and staff for three days of fast-paced, indoor soccer action. The tournament features a knockout format, with teams needing to go undefeated to win gold.
The host Rattlers enter the championship as strong contenders on both sides. The men’s team, defending champions, come in as the second seed with a 6-1-1 record and are led by league-leading scorer Aleksa Bijelic. The women’s team, also 6-1-1, are seeded third and look to build on last year’s bronze medal performance with a mix of impactful rookies and experienced returners.
Both teams are coached by Damir Omerovic and benefit from home-court advantage, with high expectations heading into the weekend. Medal games will take place Sunday afternoon.
