In Quebec, the annual spring-time production of maple syrup is associated with cultural traditions of good food, great music, and family-friendly fun. ‘Cabane à Sucre’ means ‘Sugar Shack’, referring to the place where maple sap is boiled down into syrup. CPF Medicine Hat will celebrate French-Canadian culture by hosting a ‘Cabane à Sucre’ at which attendees will be able to enjoy a traditional meal, music, and other activities. This event will be a great opportunity for Francophone/Francophile members of the community to come together, for children learning French to experience the language outside of the classroom, and for all Medicine Hat residents, no matter their background, to celebrate the coming of spring and to appreciate a unique aspect of Canadian culture.
