Heart Medicine Hat Together: 1st Annual MMIWG2S Memorial Walk This Valentine's Day, let's fill our hearts and our streets with a different kind of love—a love that stands in solidarity, demands justice, and honors precious lives. You are invited, Medicine Hat, to join the 1st Annual MMIWG2S Memorial Walk on Saturday, February 14th. We walk to remember and honor our stolen sisters, mothers, aunties, daughters, grandmothers, and Two-Spirit relatives who have been taken from their families and communities. We walk for those still missing. We walk to bring their stories out of the shadows and into the light of our collective awareness. This is more than a walk; it is an act of community, a step toward healing, and a powerful show of force for positive change. By walking side-by-side, we: Bring Awareness & Understanding: Shed light on the critical issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people. Show Solidarity: Stand with grieving families and survivors, sending a clear message: "You are not alone. Our community sees you, honors your loved ones, and supports you." Fuel Reconciliation with Action: Demonstrate that true reconciliation is active. It is shown through our presence, our commitment to learning, and our dedication to creating a safer, more just future for everyone. Together, as a community, we can make change.
