Female Hockey Day is a Hockey Alberta initiative aimed at bringing female players, parents, coaches, and supporters together for the development, growth, and celebration of the game. Beginning in 2018, Female Hockey Day has made stops in Red Deer, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, Calgary and Fort McMurray.
Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association will host the 2025 Female Hockey Day, presented by ATB Financial. The event will be held on February 1 at the Big Marble Go Centre.
The Hockey Alberta Foundation will be giving up to 10 $1,000 community grants for associations to hold their own Female Hockey Day event in conjunction with the main event. Please see Female Hockey Day Grant Application to apply to host your own. Cutoff to order any gear for those who need it is January 10th.
