Josh will be speaking at Pecha Kucha Night Vol. 38 with a talk entitled, ‘Electricity 101 - The Magic of Moving Electrons.’
Josh will take us on a journey through time to discover how life on earth has changed from electricity as we've dabbled with this mysterious energy source from antiquity, through the industrial revolution, to our present quickly changing energy mix, and where we're going in the future as more parts of our life are electrified. From making electricity, to moving it around, storing it and understanding why it is central for everyone's life.
Josh has been working in the electric utility industry in Alberta for over 15 years. He's an early solar PV adopter and renewables enthusiast, biker and likes to obsess on how to use our energy more efficiently. Don't ask him about insulation if you're in a hurry.
