In recognition of Loneliness Awareness Week (June 15 to 21), you are invited to join the What Matters to Hatters Coalition and the Medicine Hat Public Library for a screening of the documentary, The Great Disconnect. The film follows wellness expert, Tamer Soliman as he journeys through North American cities exploring how modern society has become isolated despite advances in technology and quality of life. Through conversations with citizens, activists, and experts in health, economics, and urban planning, the film examines the deep links between human connection, community well-being, and overall health—while asking whether we can rebuild stronger, more connected communities for the future. After the screening, there will be time for discussion. This event is free and all are welcome!
