Saturday December 21st, 2024 is the day of the Winter Solstice! Join us at Police Point Park to observe the sunset on the shortest day of the year from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. We will be meeting in the theatre with chai, peppermint tea and hot chocolate available by $2 donation starting with a simple demonstration of the Winter Solstice. We will then learn about how cultural traditions worldwide are influenced by nature and the changing seasons, recognizing the importance of light for survival.
