The WIL Grant allows business owners to apply for a $5,000.00 grant.

REQUIREMENTS

• The WIL Grant is for owners of restaurants, bars, and cafés and is sponsored by the Government of Alberta as part of the Jobs Now program.
• Owners must be a member of the Alberta Hospitality Association ($99/yearly). 
• New or current student employees must be a student or recent graduate (last 12 months) of an Alberta post-secondary institution. 
• The students must work for the restaurant for three months from the date of the grant application (existing employees), or three months from the starting date (new employees). 
• Students must work 25 hours per week over that three month period. 80 grants are available for 2024.
