We are a not for profit, charitable organization that brings the community together to enjoy rehearsing and performing concert band music. We meet weekly, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Crescent Heights High School Band Room. All members of the community who wish to participate are welcome to join. There is a band for every level of player.
In 1982 a group of musicians got together to play brass choir music: they were called the Medicine Hat Brass Guild. Everyone had such a good time, it was realized local woodwind players and percussionists should be invited to join. The resulting Concert Band had its first rehearsal in early spring 1984. A Band Association was formed soon after and for many years operated within the Medicine Hat Symphonic Society.
Our Vision: To encourage a lifetime passion for concert band by supporting local musicians and inspiring community through the joy of music creation and performance.
