Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede

Special Interest & Community

The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede is a cornerstone of Medicine Hat’s cultural and community life, blending tradition, entertainment, agriculture, and year‑round events on its expansive grounds. Every July, the Exhibition & Stampede hosts its iconic multi‑day festival celebrating western heritage with professional rodeo competitions, midway rides and games, free stage entertainment, concerts, agricultural exhibits, parades, and family‑friendly activities that draw thousands of visitors from near and far. Beyond the summer Stampede, the Exhibition & Stampede grounds are a vibrant event hub throughout the year, hosting a wide variety of trade shows, markets (including seasonal farmers’ markets and Christmas markets), concerts, sporting events, agricultural shows, trade shows, community gatherings, and private functions such as weddings and graduations. The venue also supports educational and heritage experiences like the historic Pioneer Village, making it a year‑round destination for both entertainment and community engagement in Southern Alberta.
