Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club

Outdoor Recreation

Lawn bowling in Medicine Hat has a long history in Medicine Hat. The first club was down by the CPR tracks near where the Royal Canadian Legion is now. In 1953, the club moved to it's present location on the corner of Third Street SE and Division Avenue South (across from Swirls). The club began a slow and steady decline in the 1980s and 90s, with the club having all of nine members by the end of the first decade of the 2000s. The Wednesday night jitney was the only event the club hosted at that time. We do our best to keep our membership fees low. An annual membership is $65 (2024). The fee allows you to use club owned bowls and equipment and allows us to help maintain the natural turf. Social or secondary memberships (if you already belong to another Bowls Alberta Club) are $25.
