Reesor Lake Viewpoint - Cypress Hills

The viewpoint with the widest panorama in Cypress Hills Provincial Park. Look to the north and east to see slopes which ancient glaciers pushed against to create the north escarpment of the hills. In the distant you can see a vast rolling glacial landscape, Reesor Lake and Police Point Slump. For a ‘secret viewpoint’ head west across the road where you can catch another view towards Spruce Coulee with Medicine Hat in the Distance. At 1400m above sea level you are close to the highest point in Canada between the Rocky Mountains and Torngat National Park in Labrador. The water north of the Cypress Hills flows into the South Saskatchewan River. Reesor Lake drains into Battle Creek which will end up in the Missouri River and the Gulf of Mexico.
