1234 Cafe and Pub: Inside and Patio Cafe Dining!

Elkwater gas station was purchased in November 2009. At that time, the operation was strictly a gas station/convenience store with the remnants of an auto body shop.

In 2011, renovations started and the auto body shop would be replaced by 12-34 Café & Pub. The Café first opened for business during May long weekend 2012. Throughout the following summer, 12-34 Café hosted their first outdoor concerts nights on the brand new patio and stage. Fabulous artists like Ali Sellin, Taking August, The National Midnight Star, Buffalo Jump, just to name a few, performed during these events. Indoor concerts around the fireplace are also held during the fall and winter months. To find out about our next events, please visit our Calendar Section.

The name 12-34 Café & Pub was chosen as it relates to the elevation of Elkwater townsite is 1234 metres, the same elevation as Banff.
