Art Talk with Sharon Lynn Williams

HAT ART CLUB "inspire, create, educate" PRESENTS AN ART TALK with SHARON LYNN WILLIAMS Friday April 3rd, 2020 7:00 – 9:00 PM

Sharon Lynn Williams will demo her approach to landscape painting in acrylic medium and discuss principles of art and design as she works through her landscape. Sharon’s presentation will highlight and cover aspects of colour theory, edge control, paint application and composition.

Sharon Lynn Williams lives, paints and teaches in Calgary, Alberta, and is a signature member of the Alberta Society of Artists, Federation of Canadian Artists and International Plein Air Painters. She has been happily exploring diverse media for over 35 years, and her mantra is “What would happen if…” The excitement of working from chaos to order is invigorating and creates a dialogue between the work and the artist. Sharon enjoys working with bold colour, line and texture. Her work is informed by the landscapes that she paints ‘en plein air’ in oil, her passion for gardening and love of the human figure. Sharon's interpretations of the beauty around her, as well as her vivid imagination make for an eclectic and varied body of work.

Mark your calendars and join us for an informative evening of learning.
Space is limited and there is a $5 Registration Fee for this presentation.
