on Tuesday the 16th of June, at 18:00 (6:00 p.m.),

at the Echo Dale Regional Park – Boating Pond.

With the abundance of Waterways in our area and Summer 2020 soon, upon us, Boating Water Safety is of utmost importance in our Region; With the South Saskatchewan River, the various Ponds, Creeks and Lakes in our region, Boating Water Safety has to be at the forefront.

The proper wearing of Life Jackets, along with having, and knowing how to use, all of the required Transport Canada Safety Gear is important, as we embark on enjoying our Waterways, Safely. Whether or not You are in a Motorized Boat, a Kayak, a Canoe, a Stand Up Paddleboard, or a Raft, Your Life is dependent upon You having and properly wearing the correct Water Safety gear.

The Public is invited out to the Echo Dale Regional Boat Pond on the evening of Tuesday, 16/June, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. to see and participate in a variety of displays on Water Safety, Proper Life Jacket Sizing, Fitting & Usage, Transport Canada Boating Regulations, Search & Rescue Displays, access to Boating related Books, and a free opportunity to try out a variety of Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards and Canoes on the Boating Pond.

Staying safe, while enjoying Boating (Paddled or Motorized) is dependent upon knowing the Boating Regulations, having and using required Safety Gear properly.

This Life Jackets 4 Life – 2020 is collaboratively presented to Medicine Hat by all of our Co-Sponsors, who are committed to Water Safety, in the Medicine Hat area;
