img

The Sixties Scoop refers to a period in Canadian history when thousands of aboriginal children were taken from their homes and communities by child-welfare workers and placed with mostly non-aboriginal families for foster or adoption. Join representatives from the Sixties Scoop Indigenous Society of Alberta (SSISA) for a presentation and exhibit regarding the history and repercussions of the scoop.
