Well first off you don’t need a reason! There’s live music, so you should just come. If you are looking to be convinced though… here we go!

We will start off with the 5 days of FREE cafe concerts. From January 20th to the 24th there are between 2 and 3 free concerts a day at 6 different locations throughout Medicine Hat. See some amazing artists in these incredible intimate settings.

Next reason is the Supper & Song on January 20th. Enjoy dinner at the beautiful and eclectic Heartwood Cafe. All while enjoying music from Mariel Buckley, who recently took first in the Project Wild Artist Development Program. Start the festival off right with this awesome show!

Reason # 3 is the THREE AMAZING KILN CONCERTS. Sorry we had to yell that, but they are concerts in historic beehive kilns. Think cylindrical brick beauties, with only space for 60 people, filled with music, and such amazing vibes. Come three days in a row… if you can get tickets, and see Hannah Epperson, Kyle Church, and Leeroy Stagger. It’s always a festival standout!

A classic part of festivals is getting to see some of the local, grassroots talent. Friday’s Singer Songwriter Night is the night to do it! It is hosted at Medalta - a Pottery Factory turned Museum/National Historic Site, talk about a unique location.

You are likely already convinced, but if you need one more then the Saturday schedule will certainly help you make that decision! During the day there will be 4 stages filled with bumpin’ tunes between 10:30am and 5:30pm. Then starting at 7:00pm is the Headlining Gala featuring the ever entertaining Derek Hintz, then DRFTR traveling all the way from Ontario. To round off the evening and event is two-time Juno nominated artist Maria Dunn. It’s going to be a night not to forget!
